Reliability Engineer

Job Title: Maintenance Reliability Engineer Location: Petersburg, VA Salary: Up to $115K (Depending on Experience) Employment Type: Direct Hire Shift: 1st Shift Are you ready to take on a hands-on role in driving mechanical maintenance and reliability projects within a dynamic manufacturing environment? We are looking for a Maintenance Reliability Engineer to optimize equipment performance, minimize downtime, and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. What You’ll Do:

Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance strategies for critical equipment

Conduct root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and failure modes & effects analysis (FMEA)

Utilize condition monitoring tools such as vibration analysis, thermography, and lubrication analysis

Optimize preventive maintenance (PM) programs to improve equipment reliability

Support capital improvement projects and major equipment overhauls

Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure compliance with OSHA, ASTM, and other industry standards

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering (or related field)

3+ years of maintenance reliability experience in heavy industrial, steel mill, or manufacturing environments

5+ years of maintenance experience

Experience with CMMS systems, RCM, TPM, and Six Sigma/Lean methodologies

Certification in reliability engineering (CMRP, CRE) is a plus

Strong troubleshooting, leadership, and communication skills
