We are seeking a Release Manager to oversee, coordinate, and deliver software releases across multiple environments. This role ensures high‑quality, reliable deployment of software changes and supports continuous improvement in release processes.

Key Responsibilities

Release Coordination & Delivery

  • Plan, schedule, and manage releases across development, test, and production environments.
  • Coordinate with development, QA, and architecture teams to guarantee smooth and timely release delivery.
  • Support and execute releases in test and live environments.
  • Maintain the stability and configuration of multiple test environments.
  • Ensure release artefacts, approvals, and communications are completed as required.

Technical Operations & Issue Management

  • Troubleshoot and resolve build, deployment, and environment-level issues.
  • Distinguish between code defects vs. configuration/deployment problems.
  • Conduct root‑cause analysis and manage incident or bug‑tracking tickets.
  • Support CI/CD processes and pipelines (e.g., GitLab).
  • Perform maintenance tasks outside core hours if needed for critical systems.
  • Drive improvements to release processes, environment stability, and delivery efficiency.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with developers, testers, team leads, and project managers.
  • Keep stakeholders updated on release progress, risks, blockers, and timelines.
  • Participate in peer reviews and quality checkpoints.
  • Share knowledge and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

Governance & Documentation

  • Maintain and update release-related documentation, user stories, technical notes, and deployment logs.
  • Ensure Jira and related tracking tools are consistently updated.
  • Support project management activities such as reporting, tracking, and risk/issue management.

Experience Level

  • Suitable for early‑career professionals with 0–3 years of experience in release management, software development, systems engineering, or related technical roles.
