LastPass is looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer:

 In this role you will test solutions in the domain of federation and directory integration, i.e. how LastPass integrates to solutions such as Azure AD, Okta, Google or AD Connector, for example.

You will contribute to build a better product by overseeing quality assurance processes within your team to make sure we release software with the best possible quality.  

  • You will create test plans and scenarios, according to the predefined structures, templates, and explanations
  • You will be responsible for testing changes in the software before released to users, proactively identify issues and documenting the results and capturing any anomalies that occur
  • You will coordinate and execute manual regression and exploratory tests on periodic intervals
  • Support the automation efforts to increase testing efficiency and coverage. Identify suitable automated test cases and work with the team to develop automated test scripts.

Who will you work with?

  • You will work closely with the agile teams responsible for the development and maintenance of the above-mentioned topics: federation and directory integration.
  • You will collaborate with engineers, product managers and designers and shape the future of the product by defining adequate strategy to verify the software. You are expected to enable the scrum team to create quality software. Represent and evangelize testing mindset
  • You will coordinate with the Release Manager to give green light to new features.
  • You will also work with the support team, assess and evaluate incoming issues and their severity. Help the developers fix the customer issues with speed and quality.

 What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • Maintain and validate existing regression test cases. Create and continuously maintain internal technical documentation, test plans, test cases, testing guidelines
  • Write edge cases for existing and new functionalities - extending the automated happy path cases
  • Write new test cases for functionalities that are hard to automate (e.g. MFA)
  • Write new test cases for umbrella features overarching the work of multiple teams, testing the interdependencies of the features
  • Test new features in production to ensure everything went well during deployment
  • Coordinate full regression / exploratory tests on periodic intervals over UAC
  • Help in with manual testing for the supported teams
  • Involvement in release planning and execution

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role in a diverse team 
  • Proven experience in designing complex test cases
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies/practices and a passion for software quality 
  • Good understanding of STLC and able to identify process improvement areas
  • Work experience with the Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), TestRail, GitLab
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
