Control Risks is seeking a Regional Threat Intelligence Lead for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region to support a major technology client in their threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments, as well as other analytical content. This role will provide strategic threat intelligence leadership for the APAC team, delivering timely, high-quality risk analysis to support business decision-making and operational resilience.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the regional liaison for the APAC region, ensuring regional risks are proactively identified, analyzed, and communicated in products, as well as coordinating with internal stakeholders. 
  • Manage, coordinate and mentor junior threat intelligence analysts, fostering analytical rigor and programmatic alignment. 
  • Review and copy-edit reports from junior analysts to provide consistent and high-quality products. 
  • Conduct and review in-depth research and analysis on specific locations within APAC, assessing threats from natural hazards, infrastructure, terrorism, and political instability, among others. 
  • Monitor and research emerging regional trends and topics related to data centers that could impact facility development, supply chains, and site operations in the region. 
  • Produce clear, concise, and actionable intelligence reports tailored to stakeholders, including threat summaries, trending topics, and vulnerability assessments. 
  • Manage regional project schedules and time effectively so that several projects with tight deadlines can be juggled simultaneously.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6+ years of experience in risk analysis and / or intelligence gathering, ideally in a regional role. 
  • Excellent English writing skills with a keen attention to detail. Strong written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills. 
  • Experience directly managing, training, and mentoring junior analysts. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of security analysis and risk assessments for physical security or security operations and planning. 
  • History of producing strategic risk assessment reports and high-level briefings to stakeholders. 
  • Experience coordinating and collaborating with global teams. 
  • Superior research and Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) skills.  
  • Familiarity with Google suite platforms and applications. 
  • Familiarity with or ability to quickly become expert in geopolitical risk analysis platforms, such as Seerist. 
  • Ability to travel internationally up to 25% of the time. 
  • Proficiency in additional languages is desired but not required.
