Whaley Foodservice, LLC, a multi-state commercial kitchen equipment service company is seeking a Technician Recruiter.
The Technician Recruiter is responsible for recruiting qualified service technicians who perform repairs for commercial kitchen equipment. This is a terrific opportunity to work closely with our Branch Managers in a fast paced, exciting environment. The ideal candidate will use creative recruiting tactics and networking abilities to attract top talent.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve branch technician objectives by sourcing, recruiting and interviewing top candidates based on the technical skills needed for any service technician position.
- Advise the National Service Sales and Technical Recruitment Manager and the Branch Manager involved of the potential qualifications and interest of each recruit.
- Establish recruiting needs by meeting with assigned branch managers to discuss objectives and needs for each branch.
- Build applicant resources by contacting various colleges that specialize in training for HVAC, Refrigeration, and Cooking equipment repairs.
- Visit various supply houses to meet with potential technicians to introduce Whaley Foodservice, LLC.
- Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants; analyzing responses; comparing qualifications to job requirements.
- Arrange management interviews by coordinating schedules and escorting applicant to the first interview.
- Maintain follow-up with applicants and managers during entire process.
- Provide daily and weekly reports of contacts made, interviews scheduled, interviews conducted, and results of interviews by using Salesforce or any other method that may be required.
- Maintain contact with National Service Sales and Technical Recruitment Manager throughout each week updating progress made and addressing any issues that may arise.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in a business related discipline or the equivalent in experience
- 5+ years’ experience in recruiting to include the hiring process

- Effective negotiating skills
- Strong organizational skills and judgment to effectively manage simultaneous priorities
- Ability to work well both independently and to work collaboratively in teams
- High standard for personal conduct, work ownership and accountability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other recruitment tools, databases or applications
- Overnight travel is required.
