Role purpose

  • Actively work with the CP Supply Chain including the in-market supply teams in AMEA/JANZ to deliver an integrated supply chain performance that delivers the service levels agreed with the AMEA/JANZ SPS LT.

  • Develop, implement and maintain a strategy and way of working for SPS supply activities across the AMEA/JANZ region.
  • Establish end to end supply chain optimization across AMEA/JANZ region including localization of production via FFP network including unique formulations to SPS i.e. Rodenticides, Gel Baits & granule formulations & biologicals.

Accountabilities

  • Provide the SPS Supply Chain functional input to the Regional SPS Leadership Team and is a member of the Regional SPS LT and ensure that the interests of SPS are represented within the wider Syngenta organization.
  • Build and maintain a connection with the AMEA/JANZ Supply Operations LT and the SPS Global Supply structure ensuring proper coordination and leverage of opportunities with the CP organization.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Target Operating Model for SPS to support the AMEA/JANZ Business ambition and GTM models in conjunction with the Transformation Team, AMEA/JANZ LT
  • Establish objective Supply Chain performance measures and targets, track performance and, with the assistance of AMEA/JANZ CP Supply Team, deliver improvement projects which meet the future business requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Business Managers and Development team and with the Global Supply Chain Managers new product introductions and supply chain design, implemented through the CP Supply Chain Team
  • Support Global supply chain strategy to improve end to end optimization in AMEA/JANZ region.
  • Participate in the monthly SOP to drive Supply Chain related decisions and actions, particularly around customer service levels, inventory cover and improvements in forecasting.
  • Implement improved ways of working, processes for 3rd party and adjacent technologies.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the CP Supply Coordinators for SPS in Planning, Logistics and Siting & Asset Management for AMEA/JANZ SPS portfolio.
  • Actively participate & provide leadership, development and challenging feedback to SPS LT.

  • Build an Operating Model that supports scale-up of new and growing business opportunities, specifically in Prosumer/e-commerce partnerships, Cross-Category offers, Farm Hygiene and Biologicals.
  • Establish and develop the relationships within CP AMEA/JANZ Supply Chain, with the AMEA/JANZ LT and key markets, with the GSCMs and other regional teams necessary to deliver the supply objectives.
  • Improve inter-regional supply chain ways of working in SPS portfolio.
  • Improve the process for managing new product introductions to ensure that changes are fully assessed, understood and agreed to before implementation and business risks are managed.
  • Provide high quality and timely supply chain input to the ELT and ESOP.
  • A subject matter expert and role model for embedding Operations Management within the region

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Critical knowledge

  • Minimum BSc degree, MSc preferred.
  • S&OP, inventory management and Customer Service process understanding.
  • Strong knowledge in supply related functions such as demand management, planning, forecasting, MRP, DRP, distribution and warehousing.
  • Strong knowledge in the principles of accounting, pertaining to product costing, distribution costing, duties, taxes.
  • Knowledge or familiarity with Syngenta or Agricultural Industry products and the regional market.
