The incumbent in the Regional Sales Manager - Water/Wastewater role is responsible for supporting the Global Head of Water and Hydro's sales efforts, focusing on developing markets.
Responsibilities:
- Manage & support municipal process treatment representatives within a given territory, working towards developing each territory.
- Generate forecasts & meet annual bookings quotas for each rep within a given territory
- Find and evaluate opportunities in the market specific to sales targets.
- Generates any necessary reports, as needed. Track & report all company related expenses at least every two weeks.
- Make product presentations to customers during sales calls and trade shows to promote Rexa products and to maintain good customer relations.
- Provide product and application training as required for customers, reps and/or new employees.
- Develop a sound understanding of our competitors, their products and their functionality.
- Develop a sound understanding of the treatment process / applications where our product is used to assist with targeted sales efforts for said applications.
- Participate in industry/trade associations as appropriate to maintain customer & industry familiarity.
- Attend regional & national W&WW trade shows.
- Provide initial field service and/or trouble shooting as required.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering
- 3-5 years outside sales experience selling engineered equipment, preferably geared towards municipal process treatment.
- Experience in the valve, actuator, flow controls or related industries – prior transferable experience, such as inside sales and field service, is acceptable.
- Experience selling into the municipal water/wastewater market though representatives highly preferred
Knowledge and skills
- Above average organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Ability to communicate fluently in English (verbal & written).
- Good public speaking and presentation skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Competence with Microsoft Office and CRM
- Valid driver’s license
Working conditions:
- Up to 50% travel
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to fly on airplanes
- Able to lift a 40 kg demo case
