Regional Sales Manager

TLDR

The Regional Sales Manager is accountable for driving sustainable revenue growth, market expansion, and distributor excellence across the Sulawesi region, leading commercial strategy execution.

  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with national business objectives to deliver revenue and market share growth.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing regional sales team (Area Managers / Sales Supervisors) to ensure consistent execution excellence.
  • Manage and optimize distributor performance, ensuring strong sell-in, sell-out, inventory management, and working capital control.
  • Drive accurate sales forecasting, demand planning, and effective Accounts Receivable (AR) management.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitor activities, pricing trends, and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key distributors, large accounts, and industry stakeholders.
  • Ensure effective implementation of trade marketing initiatives, promotional programs, and market development activities.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, governance standards, and local regulations.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in agribusiness sales, with at least 2 years in a regional leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in managing multi-province operations within Sulawesi.
  • Strong understanding of agribusiness value chain, including fertilizers, crop protection, seeds, or related inputs.
  • Proven experience in distributor management and channel optimization within a structured commercial organization.
  • Strong business acumen with capabilities in strategic planning, financial analysis, and performance management.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • High mobility and willingness to travel extensively across the assigned region.
