This senior program analyst-level position provides engineering program support to the Capital Projects Group. Key responsibilities include cost center budget oversight, internal engineering charge-out process management, regional capex spend reporting and reconciliation, capital project scheduling, project schedule analysis, continuous improvement of forecasting and monitoring processes, and support for special program initiatives.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage engineering capitalization, including project cost calculations, annual budget development, monthly leadership meetings, and forecast updates to the Regional Head of Engineering (RHoE).
  • Deliver timely capital program cost reports by consolidating data from multiple sources to meet business partner requirements.
  • Streamline monthly and quarterly spend reporting processes as part of the PMO's cost management service offering.
  • Develop new project and portfolio spend reports to support business decision-making.
  • Create and improve project and program cost models as needed.
  • Maintain dashboards with monthly communications to regional and global AI and FF&P stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements across the capital projects team.
  • Provide operating budget analysis and cost center planning support to the regional engineering manager and finance business partner.
  • Manage and maintain the master regional capital project schedule tool supporting the capital portfolio across NA P&S sites and other regional capital engineering projects.
  • Consult on large construction project schedules and analyze and validate Primavera P6 schedules maintained by general contractors.
  • Track, compile, and oversee construction safety statistics for the NA region and perform roll-up into global data systems as necessary.
  • Collaborate with project managers and business stakeholders to develop and maintain a database for monthly status reports to address gaps in current data reporting and forecasting.
  • Manage ad hoc requests for capital spend forecasts from business stakeholders.
  • Participate in developing, monitoring, and reporting engineering Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as needed.

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in construction management or business.
  • 3-5 years of general accounting or finance experience in project, program, or portfolio support.
  • 10+ years of construction or engineering firm experience.
  • 3-5 years of administrative support experience.

Desired:

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in finance or business administration.
  • Certification or completed education in Primavera P6 and Smartsheet.
