Role Summary:
The Regional Program Manager will report to the Region Head and be responsible for day-to-day oversight and implementation of Max Access Solutions (MAS) in the Africa and The Middle East (AME) region in support of The Max Foundation’s mission to accelerate health equity.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the key internal point of contact in the AME Region for all matters related to MAS, including resolving any issues that may arise, in collaboration with colleagues
- Oversee the day–to-day management of all program activities under MAS
- Supervise program management & implementation in the region, ensuring compliance with global program policies and procedures
- Supervise Program Officers and Program Coordinators in all aspects of the program, including management of relationships with partner institutions and physicians; patient intake, verification, documentation, and case load management; adverse event reporting, and supply ordering and distribution
- Oversee Program Officers’ work with the Supply chain and logistics team to ensure timely completion of tasks
- Work closely with the HQ Programs team in all matters related to programs, including development of policies and procedures, reporting, and issue resolution
- Leads performance management process for all direct reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required, master’s or relevant certification preferred
- 5-7+ years of professional experience in healthcare communications required; non-profit and/or global health experience a plus
- Quick learner with a proven ability to adapt in all environments
- Advanced project management skills and ability to navigate in a fast-paced environment with a solid track-record of following through on commitments
- Agile thinker with excellent analytical skills and proven ability to make thoughtful decisions & critical decisions
- Experience working in a global and multicultural capacity across time zones and among diverse team
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills; written and verbal fluency in French, Portuguese, or another language, a plus
- Willing and able to travel domestically or internationally, on occasion
