Nutrition International (NI), via its Research and Development (R&D) Unit, strives to be a leader and innovator in generating and using high-quality evidence to inform the implementation of programs and development of country and global policies. The R&D Unit ensures that all NI's efforts in addressing malnutrition are informed by the best available data and evidence. It informs the development of country and global policies and the implementation of programs that use nutrition interventions for improving women and children’s health, by being leaders and innovators in research and evaluation.
The Regional Program Assistant, Research and Development Unit contributes to the impact of Nutrition International’s (NI) work on research and development in Africa and globally through provision of efficient support services to the staff of the Research and Development Unit (R&D) mainly in areas of legal, finance, and administration.
Approximately 75% of the level of effort will be dedicated to supporting R&D-led projects being conducted in Africa and 25% to R&D work being conducted globally, but the assigned level of effort may be modified from time to time.
