We are a virtual-first primary care practice dedicated to improving the primary care experience for seniors as well as our providers. We founded Heyday Health because we saw the health system leaving our elderly loved ones behind and were driven to create a better solution. Our practice is being built from the ground up with the mission of transforming how, where, and when we deliver care to achieve exceptional outcomes.
We are looking for a professional physician leader to help lead our team of dedicated, patient-oriented providers. The role will include:
- Leading a team of advanced practice clinicians (APCs) and Health Allies. Among other functions, this will include clinical oversight, mentorship, and performance evaluation.
- Providing exceptional primary care that patients and their families would recommend to others while setting the highest example for the rest of the team as we build our practice
- Delivering excellent primary medical care to medicare beneficiaries through video, phone, email, and in-home care.
- Maintaining accurate patient records, administering intake and follow-up appointments, and communicating with patients, family members, and caregivers as needed.
- Identifying and proactively addressing quality gaps in care, chronic disease documentation, and patient experience.
- Working closely with the Heyday Health team of clinicians and Health Allies to advocate for every patient and ensure the highest quality care.
- Providing feedback to the broader organization about on-the-ground successes and opportunities for improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Valid U.S. work authorization
- An active and unrestricted Ohio Medical License
- MD or DO with additional post-graduate degree(s) a plus
- Board certified in either Internal Medicine or Family Practice. Preference for experience or specialization in geriatrics.
- 5 - 10 years of experience as Primary Care Physician with preference for leadership track record
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle that can be used for at-home patient visits
- Comfort with using or learning how to use electronic health records, health information exchanges and other computer systems

- Fantastic communication skills and a passion for building relationships
- Enthusiasm for contributing to and developing innovative models for patient care
- Experience with managing and proactively improving quality (e.g., STARS, HEDIS), risk adjustment, and patient experience measures
- Experience with telehealth or commitment to learning how to use digital health platforms
- Comfort with using electronic health records and other computer systems
- Dedication to doing the right thing and providing compassionate care

Job Type: Full-time, part-time, permanent
Location: Cincinnati, OH area
Salary Range: $280,000 - $320,000 plus performance bonus
