Your Role:

The Regional Business Director will be directly responsible for the management and profitability of their territory and their Territory Business Managers (TBMs) including managing their performance and consistently providing quality feedback, coaching and development opportunities to set them up for success. The Regional Business Director will be responsible to coach and develop each TBM to achieve his/her maximum individual potential, resulting in the achievement of key performance results in addition to managing and promoting a high degree of account team coordination, collaboration, and execution.

The Regional Business Director will provide leadership necessary to achieve sales goals for marketed products in a region. This includes all aspects of sales planning and execution for the area including working with Commercials Operations, Marketing, Medical, Legal, Compliance, Patient Services, Human Resources, and Senior Leadership and ensuring the optimal allocation of resources across geography assigned. The Regional Business Director will also hold ultimate accountability for maintaining effective relationships with key customers in the region.

The Regional Business Director will develop and maintain relationships with key physician practices, hospitals/clinics, and patient advocacy organizations.  Act as an ambassador to provide insights to the larger organization and increase recognition as a leader in Rare Disease. Ensure compliance with all Company, industry and government laws or guidelines regarding ethical standards.

Location Classification – Field-Based: ​

Officially classified as working as a member of field organization, with the expectation of this role to travel and engage and with external partners, collaborators, and other third parties regularly on behalf of SpringWorks Therapeutics. #LI-Remote

​​​Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Establishes, manages, and coaches a high performing sales team to operate in line with SpringWorks’ sales model and standards, including appropriately allocating rewards/recognition
  • Establishes and maintains a positive reputation for SpringWorks with key customers and communicates clear and compelling messages to varied audiences, ensuring that message is appropriate and compliant.
  • Oversee the development and execution of strategic sales and account plans and ensure implementation of tailored field force efforts to meet unique regional needs; ensure quarterly sales targets are met/exceeded and field activities are aligned to the strategic brand imperatives
  • Analyzes the Region’s business and builds short- and long-term business plans to drive sales growth, including setting clear expectations for utilization of approved promotional programs
  • Develops regional business strategies to increase access to the brand and support the brand objectives by working with Market Access and other key stakeholders
  • Participate as a key member of a high performing team including Marketing, Regional Marketing Leads, Commercial Operations, Patient Access, and Human Resources to achieve the goals and objectives of individuals and the team.  Act as an ambassador to communicate a broader holistic view of the organization to meet specific customer needs.
  • Hire, coach and retain top TBM talent
  • Conduct field coaching sessions aligned with individual skill development and improved performance while setting goals and providing feedback to ensure maximum development of each individual TBM.
  • Communicate competitive market intelligence to brand teams and management
  • Responsible for allocating and managing district budget
  • Develop local opinion leader relationships to achieve aligned objectives
  • Recruit and retain top managers
  • Ensure high level of collaboration with alliance partners to maximize joint efforts
  • Monitor and understand sales trends and competitor activities within the area and nation
  • Demonstrates expertise in the Rare Disease and Sarcoma healthcare landscape and market dynamics, trends, competitors, regulations with a high level of understanding of  Rare Disease and Sarcoma distribution models and managed health care environment and coaches direct reports to elevate their knowledge
  • Attend sales meetings, training programs and medical conventions as requested
  • Direct and align efforts related to business strategic plan to ensure that long-term corporate goals are achieved
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned. 

Role Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree (MBA) preferred
  • Minimum of 10+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience
  • Minimum of 3 years in Rare Disease or Sarcoma and in management role(s)
  • Minimum of 3+ years in direct people leadership
  • Demonstrated successful experience in multiple HQ disciplines (i.e., Marketing, Managed Markets)
  • Previous experience in the launching of product(s), service(s)
  • High science or business orientation
  • Strong understanding of Rare Disease therapeutic area and current trends
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry procedures and regulations
  • Strong business acumen related to Rare Disease selling and Customer account management
  • Proactive; takes ownership of situations and demonstrates strong analytical, strategic and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead successful cross-functional teams through effective motivation and leadership

Physical Requirements of Position:

  • Ability to safely and successfully operate a motor vehicle is required. Valid US Driver’s License and a driving record in compliance with company standards
  • Position may require domestic travel up to 50%+ of time or more
  • The candidate should reside within a reasonable distance to assigned territory

Compensation & Benefits:
The expected salary range for this position is $220,000.00 - $255,000.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.
