About Onebrief

Onebrief is collaboration and AI-powered workflow software designed specifically for military staffs. By transforming this work, Onebrief makes the staff as a whole superhuman - meaning faster, smarter, and more efficient.

We take ownership, seek excellence, and play to win with the seriousness and camaraderie of an Olympic team. Onebrief operates as an all-remote company, though many of our employees work alongside our customers at military commands around the world.

Founded in 2019 by a group of experienced planners, today, Onebrief’s team spans veterans from all forces and global organizations, and technologists from leading-edge software companies. We’ve raised $123m+ from top-tier investors, including Battery Ventures, General Catalyst, Insight Partners, and Human Capital, and today, Onebrief is valued at $1.1B. With this continued growth, Onebrief is able to make an impact where it matters most.

About the role

As a key member of Onebrief’s recruiting team, you will play a critical role in finding, engaging, and hiring the top-tier customer-facing talent responsible for Onebrief's success, adoption, and growth. You will partner with hiring managers, interviewers, and leadership to shape our hiring strategy, create an exceptional candidate experience, and help scale our company during a period of rapid growth.

About You

You've recruited for GTM roles (e.g., account management, sales, customer success, delivery leads) during a period of rapid growth. You're able to quickly build rapport, understand candidate motivations, and maintain strong attention to detail in a high volume recruitment environment. You stay on top of inbound applicant pipeline while also proactively sourcing talent for harder-to-fill roles.

You’ve formed strong relationships with hiring managers and leadership, and they see you as a trusted thought partner when building their teams. Within the Talent Acquisition team, you’re highly collaborative, and have delivered impactful projects and initiatives to improve processes. You thrive in an environment with high trust and autonomy, have a strong sense of ownership, and are an excellent communicator.

Ideally, you bring experience in working with military veterans (through initiatives like Skillbridge, Hiring our Heroes, or The Honor Foundation) or have worked in the defense tech industry. If not, you're insatiably curious and eager to learn.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers and other members of the Talent Acquisition team to shape recruiting strategies and guide process improvements

  • Develop a deep understanding of the business’ talent requirements, partnering with interviewers and hiring managers to define interview processes and candidate evaluation techniques

  • Proactively source and engage candidates through a variety of sourcing techniques

  • Deliver an exceptional candidate experience from initial contact through offer acceptance, ensuring timely communication, feedback, and positive engagement

  • Use our ATS (Ashby) to track and analyze recruiting metrics to measure effectiveness, taking a data-driven approach to process improvement

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trends and technologies within the broader tech ecosystem to stay ahead of market shifts

  • Build and nurture relationships with both passive and active candidates to create a pipeline for future hiring needs

What we look for
