The award-winning The Romanos, a Luxury Collection Resort and The Westin Resort Costa Navarino are seeking for a Recreation Team Leader. The selected candidate will, under the guidance of the Recreation Manager, insure the maintenance of the highest Standards of professionalism in all aspects of the operation. To ensure guests’ safety and satisfaction are provided whilst they utilize the facilities, smooth running of the Recreation Department. Responsible for a happy working environment and team.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the operational responsibilities and standards of service, maintain hygiene standards regarding Fitness area, indoor pool- Jacuzzi- Steam -Sauna and the courts
• Communicate with guests and stay informed of all fitness, Kids and Entertainment Activities and developments.
• To ensure that all kid's and adults' entertainment activities run smoothly.
• Maintain a high standard of appearance and personal hygiene as laid down by the Recreation manager.
• Responsible for all stock control within the fitness department and ordering all products via SAP System, cleaning and disposables materials, amenities.
• Effectively use the finance platform and follow up all reservations according to group activities & Personal Training Sessions.
• Promote and sell / upsell all personal and group activities to Recreations department guests in a professional manner.
• Follow all H&S rules, hotel policies, SOPs and Brand Standards always. Guide and encourage team to do the same.
• Complaint handling in an effective manner, after relevant guidance by Recreation manager and prompt update of the GXP system
• Support the Recreation manager in the day-to-day operation. Organize and send all internal email communication with all relevant departments regarding administration (H.R, Finance, Purchasing).
• Attend all training and seminars provided by the company and continuously remain updated for all trends and market news

Requirements

• At least 2 years in a similar position in a hotel in the corresponding department.
• High School Diploma. Physical Education & Sports Science with focus on Sports Management Seminars.
• Ability to work under pressure, during peak periods on long or flexible shifts / flexibility – adaptability
• Ability to train the team in a positive and effective manner
• Problem solving - Multitasking skills / Imagination – creativity to improve operation excellence
• Ability to plan & organize the tasks to ensure the smooth operation
• Supervisory and delegation skills for operation excellence
• Ability to deliver memorable service and exceed guests’ expectations
• Communication skills, both verbal and written and email etiquette
• Team player and supportive/motivating behavior with the team
• Maintain a positive attitude with internal and external guests
