Reconciliation Analyst

TLDR

Take ownership of reconciliation processes across systems, drive automation, and contribute to the scheme fee engine while ensuring accuracy in financial data management.

At xpate, we’re building a payment platform for the world we live in now — fast-moving, borderless, digital-first.

We’re on the lookout for a Reconciliation Analyst who can take full ownership of reconciliation across all systems, drive automation, and be a key contributor to our scheme fee engine — someone who thinks like a product manager and acts like an engineer.

Your role at xpate:

This role is your chance to be the reconciliation backbone of our platform — ensuring accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and actively shaping the tools and processes that keep our financial flows clean and transparent.

  • Own the full-cycle reconciliation process across all systems, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data end-to-end.
  • Reconcile scheme invoices, identifying and resolving discrepancies with speed and precision.
  • Investigate and resolve reconciliation issues raised by clients, acting as the primary point of contact for reconciliation-related queries.
  • Act as the main driver of reconciliation automation — defining requirements, prioritizing improvements, and collaborating with engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions, effectively taking on a product manager role.
  • Document reconciliation procedures and control frameworks to support auditability, compliance, and operational efficiency.

We’re ready to meet you, if…

You bring deep reconciliation expertise, a product mindset, and a drive to automate and improve the way financial data flows.

  • You have proven experience in end-to-end reconciliation across multiple systems and payment flows.
  • You have hands-on experience working with schemes invoicing and settlement processes.
  • You think like a product manager — you can translate operational pain points into clear requirements and drive their implementation.
  • You have experience contributing to fintech or payments product development, ideally including scheme fee or settlement engine work.
  • You are comfortable working with modern data tools, SQL, and reconciliation platforms in a fast-paced environment.
  • You demonstrate strong analytical skills and an eye for detail, with the ability to spot anomalies quickly and act on them.
  • You thrive in complex, fast-paced environments with evolving priorities and are comfortable with ambiguity.
  • You continuously identify inefficiencies in reconciliation workflows and proactively push for automation and scalable improvements.

What working at xpate looks like:

  • A dynamic, ambitious environment where compliance is seen as an enabler of growth, not a blocker.
  • Enjoy flexible working hours, hybrid work options, private health insurance and generous paid time off giving you the balance you need to perform at your best.
  • Apple hardware and modern work tools to support your workflow.
  • Extra personal time off for rest and recharge: 12 additional days per year, plus your birthday off.
  • Private health insurance and wellness benefits.
  • Opportunities to grow, lead, and shape xpate's future-proof compliance ecosystem.
