About the Role:

We are seeking an analytical problem-solver to join our Reconciliations team. If you have a passion for numbers, possess the tenacity to track down every penny, and want to apply your accounting knowledge to the dynamic world of digital payments, this role is for you.

You will act as a key guardian of our financial data, liaising with global acquirers and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate merchant settlements. In this role, you will navigate mass datasets, optimize reconciliation workflows, and help maintain trust in our financial operations as we scale.

 

Your Role: 

Daily Responsibilities

  • Reconcile source system data with acquirer/merchant data and investigate discrepancies promptly.
  • Liaise with internal teams (Analytics, Antifraud, R&D) and external stakeholders (Acquirers) to resolve reconciliation queries.
  • Identify and escalate discrepancies in acquirer fees/commissions versus source system records.
  • Collaborate with Merchant and Acquirer teams to ensure accurate data for merchant settlements.
  • Track chargeback statuses in coordination with the Antifraud team and update reconciliation systems.
  • Obtain daily reimbursement totals, share with Finance Operations, and archive settlement statements.
  • Support daily safeguarding activities as required.

Weekly Responsibilities

  • Post acquirer reports into financial systems.
  • Update FX rates across all entities (FIAT and CRYPTO), including creation of new cryptocurrency rates when needed.
  • Post and reconcile data warehouse transactions

 Monthly Responsibilities

  • Reconcile all allocated balance sheet accounts (merchants, payout, bank)
  • Support month-end posting, reporting and closing activities.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities

  • Handle other tasks as assigned by the Reconciliations Manager and Head of Finance Operations.

 

What We're Looking For:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Finance or AAT.
  • Solid accounting knowledge of revenue and cost of sales treatment.
  • Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent Excel skills (vlookup, indexmatch, pivot).
  • Experience working with, reformatting and summarising mass amounts of data.
  • Prior experience with mass data set reconciliation.
  • Positive attitude and loves working in a team.
  • Required to have the right level of gravitas and tenacity to resolve discrepancies in a
    timely manner.
  • Able to liaise with people of all levels throughout the business.
