Receptionist

As the Receptionist, you are the face of Astranis! Your job is to ensure that everyone who walks through the door feels at home - where guests and employees alike have a positive experience. You’ll have visibility across many parts of the business and be closely involved in the daily operations of the office and culture. We are growing at a rapid pace, and you’ll play a key role in holding everything together as we continue to reach new milestones. We’re looking for someone with a positive, outgoing attitude, a knack for stellar first impressions, and a passion for creating a fun, social, and engaged office environment.

Role

• Ensure that the lobby is always presentable, polished, and professional.
• Deliver best-in-class customer service from the front desk, ensuring guests and employees have a welcoming and seamless experience.
• Support employees and visitors in the office with ad hoc questions, guidance, and assistance as needed.
• Respond to and resolve service requests promptly.
• Plan and assist with internal events, such as happy hours, VIP visits, and company-wide celebrations.
• Oversee front-of-house operations including visitor and badge management, food and beverage deliveries, shipping/receiving, and office supply management.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of front-of-house experience with responsibilities across operations and service delivery.
• A strong passion for creating a world-class Astranis experience.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to draft clear and professional office-wide communications.
• Proven organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities.
• Customer-focused mindset, always striving for high-quality, timely resolutions.
• Ability to stay adaptable and calm in fast-moving or ambiguous situations.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace or MS Office, and comfort learning new tools and applications quickly.
• Experience with budget tracking and procurement.
• Must be onsite 5 days a week.

• Experience planning and executing events, from team gatherings to executive visits.
• Hands on experience managing vendors and contracts.
