Role Overview

Based on the front reception of our Sewell Head Office, the successful individual will be the first point of contact, by phone and in person, for our staff, customers, and visitors. 

They will form part of our Group Administration Team, and along with being the first point of contact, will also provide general administration and hospitality/meet & greet support to our people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answering incoming phone calls, taking, and distributing messages as required
  • Being the first point of contact for staff and visitors
  • Coordinating incoming and outgoing mail
  • Provide administration support such as copy-typing, proof reading, document amendments, photocopying/scanning and electronic document management
  • Provide hospitality and meet & greet services for meetings held on the premises and occasionally third-party premises, including meeting room set-ups
  • Support/coordinate the booking of meeting rooms including amendment bookings
  • Supporting internal and external events, from preparation to meet & greet
  • Conducting daily checks on office spaces, reviewing stationery/stock/supply requirements, and ordering additional items as needed
  • Managing and booking travel and accommodation requirements
  • Ordering catering, hospitality and corporate gifts as required
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider team and business.
  • Potential to provide holiday and sickness cover for the wider team across both of our offices (Sewell Group Head Office based in Hull, and at the Bridgehead Office in Hessle).

Essential

  • Full Driving License, valid in the UK and own transport
  • Previous experience of working in a Reception/Administration role
  • An excellent approach to customer service
  • An excellent telephone manner
  • A friendly and welcoming approach with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Be computer literate in Microsoft Office products
  • Have good communication and organisational skills
  • Be able to work both as a team member and alone in a busy working environment
  • Possess a positive approach to learning and development
  • Have a flexible attitude towards hours worked and interest in supporting the wider team during holiday and sickness periods
