ANA is headquartered in Henderson, Nevada with locations in Cypress, California and Spartanburg, South Carolina. ANA is growing and scaling and we are seeking a R&D Technician to join our growing team in an onsite position in Henderson, NV. The R&D Technician position will play an important role in moving Engineering projects and tasks forward by providing support, testing, prototyping and development for ANA’s current and future product lines that support the equipment rental industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in diesel engines, power generation, control panel wiring, troubleshooting, compressors, electronics, metal fabrication with strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a passion for staying updated on industry trends.
In the R&D Technician’s day-to-day, you will be responsible for assisting in the design, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and components. This role involves collaboration with engineers, troubleshooting electrical issues, and ensuring the efficient operation of electrical equipment.
The position is fully onsite, and the work schedule is weekdays at 7:30 - 4:30pm. This role reports to the R&D Manager.
Role & Responsibilities:
Assist in Electrical System Design: Collaborate with electrical engineers to develop and design electrical systems and components. Contribute to the creation of electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation.
Testing and Troubleshooting: Conduct tests on electrical systems and components to identify issues and ensure functionality. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical problems, implementing effective solutions.
Installation and Maintenance: Assist in the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Fabricate parts for prototypes and test equipment. Assemble prototypes following engineering specifications. Responsible for soldering, crimping, and assembling of cables and connectors for prototypes. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems. Provide assembly training as required to the production team.
Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and other team members to achieve project goals. Provide technical support to other departments as needed.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of tests, repairs, and maintenance activities. Generate comprehensive reports on findings, recommendations, and project progress.
Quality Control: Ensure that all electrical work meets quality and safety standards. Participate in quality control processes and implement improvements when necessary.
Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Stay informed about advancements in electrical engineering and technology. Attend relevant training and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
Industrial Equipment and Accessory Assembly Experience: 2 years (Required)
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles
Electrical and Mechanical prototyping 2 years (Preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering Technology is preferred
Technical Skills: Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams. Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment and tools, including oscilloscopes, power analyzers and power supplies. Familiarity with relevant software for design and simulation
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills
Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work
Physical Requirements:
Operate an industrial forklift truck to accomplish various materials handling assignments
Will be required to pull, pack, sort, verify, and or count materials on a regular basis
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at a time
Must follow PPE standards e.g. wear safety gear such as goggles and gloves when handling box cutters or similar tools
