QA’s Trims and Materials Coordinator randomly inspects incoming material according to the predetermined critical properties of the component at the frequency rate identified by the client’s quality system standards and requirements manual. will assess the level of risk to the downstream manufacturing processes and if necessary, informs the supplier of the material non-conformance.
• Ensure quality of suppliers, service providers, and Incoming materials received for the entire manufacturing process
• Understand & manage global qualification activities of incoming materials & suppliers in partnerships with key stakeholders (RM Dev Director, procurement/QC/Local teams).
• Understand & manage the life-cycle activities of incoming materials.
• Manage investigations of escalated issues, as well as corrective & preventive actions from different suppliers and internally when applied.
• Create, Understand & manage the initial assessment of all suppliers' notifications.
Knowledge & Experience
• Proven experience in a relevant or technical discipline in the apparel manufacturing industry.
• At least 3-5 years of experience working in a quality role, preferably in the apparel manufacturing industry.
• Ability to work with teams in multiple locations.
• Experience with a global organization preferred.
• Good Knowledge and ability to explain and negotiate with supplier organizations to comply with standards.
• Advanced level of English, written and verbal, required.
Education/Certification Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Professional training or certifications in Quality or Continuous Improvement, such as Lean Six Sigma, ASQ, ISO, etc.
