As a Raw Material Manager, you will:

  • Secure that all relevant responsible sourcing of raw material requirements are developed and implemented.

  • Responsible for driving the Leadership and Competence agenda: Identify needs and gaps, and build leadership and competence plans to meet the short- and long-term business needs.
  • Lead, coach and develop a high performing team that will strongly contribute to reach the objectives and goals
  • Lead the team towards the set goals incl. Raw Material compliance.
  • When applicable support IKEA Forest Investments.

  • Good knowledge of IKEA Strategic Landscape, especially Supply Strategy and People and Planet positive
  • Strong understanding of IKEA Business model and IKEA Business model for growth
  • Understanding of how your everyday work adds customer value by delivering to Democratic Design.
  • Good knowledge of One IKEA Business Plan Process and IKEA Purchase Development Process (PDP); Supplier Development Process (SDP) & knowledge of Develop Product Offer Process (DPOP)
  • Knowledge of IKEA Purchasing Manual and IWAY material section
  • Strong understanding of Raw material management, the Raw Material Industry and trade, and raw material processing
  • Strong ability to lead team in remote environment, coach and mentor, lead through involving and engaging people
  • Capability to understand and analyse the global growing/extraction and Raw Material processing industry.
  • Capability to manage and deliver large projects in complex and global environment across multiple business segments
  • Strong ability to analyse a business, identifying and navigating risks
  • Strong ability to build strong relationships and to build trust with external stakeholders and NGOs
  • Passion for business and people, motivated to have impact on both business and sustainability goals
