WHAT YOU WILL DO:
The Rack Factory Logistics Lead is responsible for overseeing all logistics operations within the rack manufacturing facility. This role ensures efficient material flow, inventory accuracy, shipping and receiving coordination, and on-time delivery performance. The Logistics Lead works cross-functionally with production, purchasing, and warehouse teams to maintain operational efficiency and support production goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead daily logistics operations including shipping, receiving, material handling, and internal material movement
Coordinate inbound raw materials and outbound finished rack shipments
Ensure accurate inventory tracking and cycle counts
Monitor and maintain ERP/system transactions related to logistics and inventory
Schedule and manage freight carriers, dock appointments, and load planning
Optimize warehouse layout and material flow to improve efficiency
Support production teams with timely delivery of materials to workstations
Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies
Identify and implement process improvements to reduce waste and increase efficiency
Supervise and train logistics team members
Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time shipments, inventory accuracy, and freight costs
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
3+ years of experience in manufacturing logistics, warehouse operations, or supply chain
Experience in a production or factory environment preferred
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
Experience with ERP systems and inventory management software
Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (or willingness to obtain certification)
Strong leadership and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
Knowledge of freight coordination and LTL/FTL shipping
Experience managing small teams
