WHAT YOU WILL DO:

A Rack Factory Operations Manager oversees daily manufacturing, production, and warehouse logistics, focusing on optimizing efficiency, ensuring product quality, and maintaining safety standards. They manage production schedules, supply chain inventory, and staff, implementing lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste. Key responsibilities include hitting output targets, controlling budgets, and coordinating with maintenance for equipment uptime.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production & Efficiency: Direct daily production schedules for rack fabrication and assembly, utilizing lean manufacturing to optimize workflows and reduce waste.
  • Quality & Compliance: Implement quality control procedures (statistical process control) to ensure products meet standards; enforce safety protocols (EHS&Q).
  • Inventory & Supply Chain: Manage inventory levels for raw materials and components; coordinate with logistics for shipping and receiving.
  • Staff Management: Lead, train, and evaluate production employees; manage staffing levels to meet demand.
  • Maintenance & Budgeting: Coordinate preventative maintenance on equipment and manage departmental budgets and capital expenditure projects.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  • 5 - 7 years of professional industry experience, with a minimum of 4 years specializing in manufacturing and/or distribution functions
  • Proven experience in manufacturing operations, specifically fabrication, metalworking, or structural assembly.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles, CAD/technical drawings, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA).
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments (engineering, sales, procurement).
  • Proficient in using data/KPIs to monitor performance and improve processes.

DESIRABLE CRITERIA:

  • Experience in rack fabrication environment. Including technical knowledge of server rack components and networking functions. 
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Training
  • OSHA Certifications

Pay Range
$95,000$115,000 USD
