Job Title: General Ledger Associate

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive GL Associate to join our Finance team in Bangalore. This position operates in a hybrid mode, offering a blend of in-office collaboration and remote work flexibility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in general ledger accounting and a keen interest in expanding their global finance expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance and Accounting of Assets: Oversee and reconcile all General Ledger Accounts (GLAs) and Balance Sheet (BS) accounts related to tangible and intangible assets, including fixed assets, goodwill, IFRS 16 lease accounting, and related areas.
Payroll/Compensation Accounting: Post payroll and compensation entries (including bonuses, benefits, and holiday accruals), ensuring timely reconciliation of all related GLAs/BS accounts.
Bank & Cash Postings: Manage postings for bank and cash transactions and assist with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) matching as required.
Factoring & BNP Portal Administration: Administer factoring file uploads and manage the BNP portal to ensure accuracy and compliance.
External Debt Accounting: Maintain and reconcile all external debt accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy of all related GLAs/BS accounts.
Transfer Pricing & Intercompany Accounting: Oversee the accounting and reconciliation of all transfer pricing and intercompany accounts.
Month end Closure : month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analyses.
Cash Flow: Prepare and analyze periodic cash flow reports to support liquidity planning and decision-making.
Depreciation and Fixed Assets : Perform depreciation and fixed assets related activities.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
1–5 years of experience in a similar GL or financial accounting role.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, asset accounting, and payroll processes.
Experience with IFRS 16 and accounting for intangible assets is an advantage.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with SAP or Oracle is a plus.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
Good to have: Prior exposure to global finance operations or a multinational work environment.
