WEBB Traders is looking for a final-year student to join our Risk team. You’ll play a role in elevating our risk management function to the next level. Collaborating on varied projects, you’ll develop world-class risk tools that identify weaknesses and opportunities, keeping the company safe while transforming controls into a strategic advantage.

Choose your challenge

Besides taking part in the day-to-day tasks of the team, you’ll work on a dedicated project with the support of your mentor. You will build Python tooling for:

  • Analysis

  • Risk management

  • Visualisation

Your role

  • Help traders make better risk-adjusted trading decisions

  • Analyse and learn from past incidents in order to prevent market/operational losses

  • Build and improve risk monitoring and limit systems and tactical toolings

  • Create and improve risk processes and policies

  • Communicate in a timely and accurate manner Risk and performance indicators to relevant stakeholders like WEBB’s senior management and regulators

  • In addition to managing market and operational risks, you will also work on understanding automated trading risks, measuring regulatory capital requirements and modelling margin requirements

Requirements

Who are you

  • You are in your final year of studies or have already graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in fields such as mathematics, physics, econometrics, quantitative finance, or data science

  • You have strong analytical skills

  • You can confidently work with Python and SQL to turn complex data into clear insights

  • You have a strong interest in risk management, equity derivatives, algorithmic trading, market making and IT

  • You are familiar with financial models

  • You are fluent in English, both spoken and written
