Quality Lead

Foster an operational culture founded on HSE, Quality, and continuous process improvement. To serve as the site point person, for plant and field quality activities, to create clearer processes, improve focus on customer satisfaction and simplify ways of working. Provide leadership for product quality and quality related activities related to seed production, conditioning, treating, packaging and complaint handling. Serve as site steward for quality assurance and quality control documents contained in Syngenta’s Quality Business System.

• Raise customer focus by facilitating timely customer complaint review, root cause investigation in collaboration with others as needed (logistics, QM, R&D, etc.) and customer feedback.
• Promote end to end quality processes improvement across production and support implementation of improvement initiatives
• Facilitate regular cross-functional quality reviews with site management and leaders to review quality performance and progress of corrective actions
• Implement and monitor site/field reporting and use of agreed Quality KPIs
• Coordinate and lead root cause analysis for customer complaints and deviations from company standards.
• Lead and coordinate quality improvements and track in Productivity dashboard
• Assist Site Manager as required, including supervision of personnel, assisting with budgets, and supporting safety initiatives
• Foster an operational culture founded on adherence to all applicable HSE and other corporate policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Critical knowledge

• BA/BS diploma strongly preferred or 2-4 years of related experiences
• Experience in quality related fields, or seed production

• Position requires being able to lift 50 lbs.
• Position requires being able to walk seed production fields in any weather
• Position requires working 7 days a week during limited critical time of year
• Position requires travel by car/pickup during certain periods of year
