The Mission of the Quality & Inventory Control Manager

The mission of this role is to secure the reliability of ICEYE’s hardware by enforcing clear quality requirements, resolving issues fast, and preventing them from coming back. It also exists to safeguard the flow and integrity of all production stock so that every piece of hardware is inspected, traceable, and delivered with confidence to meet mission commitments.

Expected Outcomes and Responsibilities of the role:

  • Keep track of the customer (internal and external) quality requirements and make sure that those requirements are fulfilled
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, AIT, and supply chain teams to maintain quality across the entire product lifecycle
  • Perform supplier audits, monitor their performances, and assess the supplier risks by working closely with the supply chain teams 
  • Ensure that the activities defined in the product assurance plan are established,  and maintained as defined
  • Act as the main point of contact for product assurance issues and resolution efforts in the scope of mission contracts
  • Keep track of the nonconformances, contribute to the resolution process and lead the efforts to prevent recurrence
  • Lead the root cause analysis, implement corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances 
  • By showing a proactive approach, define the risks related to the design, build and delivery processes, keep track of the mitigation plans, and lead the efforts of minimizing the risk ratings
  • Monitor the programs, milestones and quality metrics, and provide necessary quality reports
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing and testing processes to enhance product reliability and reduce defects
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, instilling a culture of quality and operational excellence across the organization
  • Oversee incoming inspection of all production hardware.
  • Own secure storage management and access control.
  • Ensure accurate and traceable hardware distribution
  • Support verification-on-arrival processes when required.
  • Drive continuous improvement in stock workflows, ensuring alignment with production ramp-up.
  • Report regularly on stock status, risks, and improvement opportunities to leadership.

Requirements

Role-specific Competences 

  • At least 3 years of proven experience in a similar/related position
  • Relevant qualifications, e.g. college degree/diploma in electronics, electrical, quality assurance, or manufacturing
  • Proven experience in applications of quality standards (AS9100, ECSS, etc.)
  • Strong commitment to quality-oriented operations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to drive quality initiatives and foster collaboration across teams
  • Experience in aerospace, defence or high-tech manufacturing industry is a great plus
  • Familiarity with aerospace materials, systems, and manufacturing processes is a great plus
  • Experience with aerospace-specific tools (e.g., DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP)
  • Hands-on experience with supplier quality management and conducting supplier audits
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Netsuite, SAP, MS Dynamics, or similar).
  • Experience in stock, supply chain, logistics, or production management roles.
  • Knowledge of inventory control systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with inspection processes for high-value hardware.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Strong English language skills
