Planned Parenthood Keystone is looking for a part time (25 hrs/week), non-exempt, Quality Improvement RN to travel to all centers in our affiliate area. PURPOSE OF POSITION: To provide a team approach to improve healthcare quality by assessing patient care practices, analyzing data from patient charts and incident reports and identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to design and implement solutions, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and train staff on new protocols to enhance patient safety, outcomes, and operational efficiency. In collaboration with the CRQM team, support protocol and policy development. Coordinate root cause analysis meetings and conduct risk assessments to identify and mitigate risks to patient and staff safety. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Promotes practices that detect, mitigate, and prevent incidents to improve patient and workplace safety.
  • Supports compliance with voluntary and mandatory reporting obligations in a well-organized and detail-oriented fashion.
  • Coordinate mandatory emergency drills with center teams.
  • Comply with all medical protocols, policies, and procedures, including any federal & state laws and regulations governing the services provided by Planned Parenthood.
  • Support the RQM department’s strategic initiatives
  • Be able to produce, organize, and analyze data to define and evaluate trends
  • Works cross departmentally to apply change when indicated.
  • Reliability and commitment to meet deadlines when indicated by regulatory requirements.
  • Medical record auditing and releases
  • Work with center teams to uphold the affiliate’s infection control policies and procedures.
  • Ensure completion of all required training
  • Adhere to all HIPAA and patient privacy regulations. Maintain patient, medical center and interdepartmental confidentiality.
  • Participate in the quality assurance/risk management meetings.

  • QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
  • Required:
  • Active RN license in Pennsylvania is required
  • Computer literacy – Microsoft product proficiency is a must
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills - verbal and written
  • Familiarity with root cause analysis
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to travel throughout affiliate territory. Reliable means of transportation
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems

  • Preferred:
  • Experience in quality assurance preferred.
  • Ultrasound or OBGYN experience preferred. 
  • SALARY & BENEFITS:
  • Compensation for this position is $37 per hour. This position is eligible for mileage and travel expenses in accordance with policy.
