The Quality Improvement Manager leads agency-wide initiatives to enhance service delivery, patient experience, and organizational effectiveness. This role oversees the planning, execution, and evaluation of quality improvement projects, including monitoring, auditing, and process redesign.
The Quality Improvement Manager facilitates the collection and analysis of data and feedback to identify trends, drive measurable outcomes, and support professional development. Serving as a central point of coordination for quality efforts, this position ensures alignment, accountability, and continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience - Required
Master's Degree in public health or related field - Preferred
3+ years of relevant work experience in the fields of health care or non-profit organization - Required, and
2+ years of experience in quality improvement or project management - Required, or
2+ years of experience with research coordination or management - Preferred, or
2+ years of experience with Lean Six Sigma, Plan-Do-Check-Act model, and other process improvement theories and practices - Preferred
In this role, you'll get to:
Works collaboratively with the CMO, Clinical Services and Quality leadership on quality program initiatives including research and process improvement.
Ensures agency-wide compliance with all applicable regulations and standards related to research and quality improvement initiatives.
Prepares comprehensive reports and presentations for stakeholders, highlighting successes, challenges, and recommendations.
Ongoing assessment and guidance in the development/modifications of the quality program.
Monitor flow of information from medical staff committees through to the Medical Leadership Committee and Agency Quality and Risk Committees.
Liaison to medical staff leaders and key internal customers with regard to quality program initiatives in conjunction with the Director of Quality.
Provides leadership with training where needed, establishes guidelines for quality monitoring in conjunction with the Director of Quality.
Responsible for management of Medical and Quality Committee functions, including agenda preparation, minutes preparation, follow up issues, etc.
Accountable for establishing, contributing, and implementation of standards applicable to medical staff members relating to performance improvement and administrative functions, including performance evaluations and observations.
Collaborates with Clinical Services and Quality and Health Center Operations leadership to identify and respond to issues affecting the delivery of patient care.
Researches and recommends strategies and best practices and assists with the implementation of programs to increase patient care quality and patient experience.
Consults with various departments, health center leadership and committees on the design, structure and implementation of quality improvement programs.
Leads and facilitates cross-functional teams focused upon the implementation of quality improvement initiatives designed to improve patient care and safety; consults on the redesign of systems and processes.
Assists with the development of training programs for staff on selected quality improvement tools, methods, and techniques.
Actively participate in the quality metric review process, and work with providers and health centers on improving performance to achieve desired results.
Acts as the content and technical subject matter expert to the health center leaders for key project initiatives including the development of detailed work plans, facilitating root cause analysis, identifying and socializing process enhancements, setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, and monitoring/summarizing project progress for quality improvement projects.
Supports medical case review across health centers and providers.
