Role Description
Build and enhance tests to support ensuring the functionality of applicationsinthe FreedomPay system – specifically mobile android applications
Work in the engineering group’s Agile practices to deliver quality focused applications
Develop a working understanding of the FreedomPay system architecture
Foster a vision of quality improvements
Support integration testing by contributing to mocks and simulators when necessary
Positive interactions with engineering peers and others outside of engineering: Product, Support, Project Management, etc
Support promotions gates, deployments, and production monitoring
Partner with performance engineers to incorporate performance measurements into functional testing
Develop a deep understanding of the payments business
Basic Qualifications
2+ years development and testing experience using Appium, applicable mobile, or OOP experience
Experience developing and maintaining test code
Experience in mobile application testing
Agile practitioner who uses the agile processes to ensure quality focused tasks are incorporated
Efficient git lab user.
Reliable teammate.
Effective English communication skills (Listening, Speaking, Writing)
Must pass a criminal background check
Preferred Qualifications
Sql scripting and database experience
Desired experience using mocks and simulators.
Other application experience: web front ends, API, queuing, POS systems and devices.
Desired experience developing and maintaining test data for dynamic automation
Other testing tool experience: katalon, sonarqube, nunit, postman.
Other infrastructure application experience: Snowflake/sigma, Kubernetes, Ocotopus/Argo, Redis, Azure Devops, DynaTrace, Sql Server, Windows IIS.
