Our client is looking for a Quality Engineer.  They are a foundry operation making parts for aerospace, defense and other industries.  The company is located between Madison and Milwaukee.  Career growth and rewarding challenges are part of the offering.  This position will report to the Quality Manager.

What they will be doing:

  •  Review purchase order, drawings, and specification requirements and specifications focused on negotiation of customer requirements, forward-thinking product quality planning and translation of requirements to operations. Maintain compliance of products to these requirements.
  • Maintenance and improvement of Quality Management System and related software systems.
  • Work with Operations, Engineering, and Sales departments to support customer needs and product throughput. Interact directly with customers and suppliers.
  • Develop, maintain and implement quality procedures and work instructions in compliance to customer and specification requirements.
  • Conduct audits to assure compliance to quality system, processes and schedules.
  • Ensure customer verification and acceptance completed (FAI, PPAP or pre-production requirements)

Requirements

What they are looking for:·        

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, statistics or related course of study with 5+ years of manufacturing quality experience.
  • Experience with ISO9000 / AS9100, or other high compliance standards (defense, aerospace or similar) is needed
  • Experience with auditing, including internal and supplier audits, as well as complying with customer audits
  • Any experience with investment casting, metal manufacturing & machining, heat treating, or non-destructive testing (NDT) is desired
  • Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, PPAP, FMEA or root cause analysis is helpful
