Position Overview: The chosen candidate will join our cross-functional engineering team, working with mechanical, electrical and software disciplines to develop quality verification and validation procedures for new products and support the continuous improvement of our existing product line. This is an in-office position at our SE Calgary facility with eligibility to work from home one day per week, dependent on specific project deadlines and ad-hoc requirements.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Develop and maintain testing procedures derived from system and software requirements
  • Perform functional QA tests on manufactured robotic devices 
  • Support firmware release and deployment by: 
    • Writing and performing tests for firmware releases
    • Implementing or adopting testing frameworks where necessary to achieve a sufficient level of test automation 
    • Aiding in the development of CICD pipelines 
  • Support the R&D team through the prototyping and development process by writing and performing validation procedures

 

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent in a related field
  • 2+ years relevant work experience
  • Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g. Gazebo simulations, HITL)
  • Strong written and oral communication skills 
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Technical writing skills

 

Preferred Additional Skills: 

  • Knowledgeable in C++ and Python
  • Experience in CICD development (GitLab) 
  • Experience with Cloud services and APIs (AWS, DigitalOcean)
  • Keen interest in drones, robotics, and unmanned systems 


Estimated Position Start: January 2026
