What you'll get to do:
  • Serve as the main contact for customer quality issues, coordinating communication, containment, and resolution.
  • Lead structured problem-solving and root cause analysis (8D, A3, DMAIC) to implement lasting corrective actions.
  • Support APQP and PPAP activities for new product launches and engineering changes.
  • Interpret customer-specific requirements and integrate them into the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Review prints using GD&T principles to ensure accurate interpretation of design intent.
  • Develop inspection plans, quality criteria, and measurement strategies for production and launch.
  • Partner with Production and Supplier Quality Engineers to maintain consistent quality.
  • Participate in quality audits and actively support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Track and contribute to departmental metrics that align with plant and corporate quality goals.
  • What will make you successful:
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing quality role with direct customer-facing experience (automotive required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, SPC, and statistical analysis tools.
  • Experience applying formal problem-solving methodologies (8D, DMAIC, PDCA).
  • Working knowledge of metrology and measurement systems.
  • Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and ISO/IATF 16949 systems preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Minitab.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and collaborative skills with a proactive and detail-focused mindset.
