Due to recent changes a magnificent opportunity for an experienced Quality Engineer (Customer) to join a leading manufacturer of plastic parts has become available. A fantastic chance to join a global leader in the design, manufacture and supply of innovative plastic solutions for residential, commercial and industrial markets worldwide.
You will be responsible for the customer / supplier complaints across the business operating multiple different sectors. Customer / supplier complaints will be the main focus of the role and we welcome candidates from Automotive or Aerospace sector.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Effectively and efficiently, manage all customer complaints on daily basis.
Lead and facilitate 8D problem-solving activities, forming cross-functional teams to investigate customer complaint and supplier issues through structured root cause analysis
First quality contact and customer contact for all customers and suppliers claims.
Communicate 8D progress and results, preparing clear, data driven reports for customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, and ensuring timely closure in line with requirements
Actively Lead and Chair tasks towards successful completion of all corrective or preventive actions needed.
Support customer and internal meetings to share development status and report inwardly the customer requirements to suppliers.
Cross functionally works with internal departments (Sales, QA, Engineering and Production) to ensure elements are covered and cleared to agreed timescales.
Interpret and communicate customer requirements within the business.
Follow internal KPI for customer and supplier claims and report to higher management.
SKILLS REQUIRED
Good understanding in 8D, FAIR’s methodology and associated tools (required)
Experience in dealing with customers claims and supplier audits (required)
Maintaining and managing the customer and supplier complaints database.
Good understanding of Control Plan, FMEA and all relevant PPAP documentation
To be able to understand and work with technical drawings, as well as dimensionally measuring plastic parts with Non-Contact measurement equipment.
Working knowledge of IATF 16949 or ISO9001:2015 requirements (advantage)
Lean / Six Sigma (advantage)
Kaizen (advantage)
Methodical and Process driven
Excellent reporting skills and clear communication
Work with minimum or no supervision
Energetic, Focussed and committed, Confident and approachable person
Proficient in Microsoft Windows Office
