Position Summary:  

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist - IME & Peer Review Reports to join our team.  This role is responsible for the comprehensive review of Independent Medical Evaluations (IME) and peer review reports, serving as the final quality checkpoint prior to delivery to clients.  The ideal candidate will possess strong IME or peer review experience, exceptional proofreading and organization skills, and the ability  to work independently while collaborating closely with physicians and transcription teams to ensure report accuracy, clarity, and compliance.


Essential Roles and Responsibilities: 

  • Review, proofread, and quality-check dictated and transcribed IME and peer review reports for grammatical, spelling, formatting, and factual accuracy.
  • Ensure consistency of medical opinions, completeness of medical record review, and clear articulation of physicians' findings, recommendations, and conclusions.
  • Read and analyze IME and peer reports in detail, identifying discrepancies, omissions, or inconsistencies. 
  • Communicate directly with physicians and transcriptionists regarding report issues, required clarifications, or corrections to ensure accuracy and completeness.  
  • Utilize computer-based tools and document management systems, including Adobe, to edit annotate, and finalize reports.
  • Maintain organized workflows while managing multiple reports and deadling with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality reports to customers.
  • Serve as an independent reviewer, exercising sound professional judgement in identifying and resolving report quality concerns.


Qualifications and Preferred Skills: 

  • Must have prior experience reading and reviewing medical and/or peer review reports.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in peer review, medical report review, or a related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with strong proofreading, editing and organizational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with experience using document editing tools; Adobe proficiency preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in providing feedback to medical professionals.
  • Medical background strongly preferred; knowledge of medical terminology is required.
  • Knowledge of insurance claims processes, workers' compensation, or legal/medical reporting is a plus.
