QC Lead

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the manual testing efforts for multiple projects across the organization.
• Develop, review, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
• Coordinate testing activities with cross-functional teams including development, business analysts, and product managers.
• Ensure all testing activities are carried out as per the defined quality process.
• Track and manage defects, ensuring their resolution before release.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members.
• Communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant QA metrics to stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and standards.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in manual software testing with at least 2 years in a lead role.
• Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
• Expertise in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
• Familiarity with defect tracking tools like JIRA or similar platforms.
• Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ISTQB Certification or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience in testing APIs, databases, and mobile applications is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
