Role Purpose
Drive quality excellence across the data and analytics ecosystem by establishing a robust test automation framework. You’ll ensure reliability, accuracy, and performance of data pipelines and BI assets through end-to-end automated validation and continuous testing integration.
Key Outcomes
- Automated test coverage across data pipelines and semantic models
- Performance and failover testing frameworks integrated in pre-production
- Quality gates embedded into CI/CD with regression suites for critical assets
Core Responsibilities
- Define the overall testing strategy, environment setup, and automation frameworks.
- Implement unit, integration, and contract tests for pipelines, semantic models, and BI components.
- Develop data validation suites for schemas, referential integrity, and KPI thresholds.
- Conduct performance, load, and failover testing to ensure platform reliability under stress.
- Maintain synthetic datasets and masking patterns for secure non-production environments.
- Collaborate with engineers to triage issues, remediate defects, and continuously improve quality standards.
Requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years in QA or Test Automation for data-driven or cloud-based platforms
- Strong Python and SQL skills, with hands-on experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with data quality testing frameworks and performance testing in Azure environments
- Excellent communication and documentation discipline
