We are looking for a Mid-level Mainframe Programmer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mainframe technologies, including DB2 and JCL, and will be proficient in both English and French. Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
  • Analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system enhancements.
  • Monitor and optimize performance of mainframe applications and databases.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mainframe systems.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for programs, processes, and procedures.
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Support end-users by providing technical assistance and training as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and best practices in mainframe development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience in mainframe, specifically with COBOL, JCL, and DB2.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Availability to travel abroad for short periods of time, if required 
  • Good level of English - minimum B2 (mandatory);
  • Good level of French - minimum B2 (mandatory);
  • Availability to come to the office 2 days per week (flexible).
