QA Lead / Manager
Purpose:
Act as a hands-on QA manager, focused on leading day-to-day test execution, writing and reviewing automation code, and supporting the team across delivery initiatives. This role ensures QA best practices are applied consistently throughout the implementation lifecycle, while aligning closely with the overall strategy set by QA leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
● Lead and manage daily QA execution activities.
● Coach, mentor, and support automation and manual QA engineers.
● Implement and maintain scalable QA processes, testing standards, and delivery-focused governance (without owning overall QA strategy).
● Collaborate closely with project managers, engineering teams, and customer stakeholders to ensure timely, high-quality releases.
● Track and communicate QA metrics (e.g., defect leakage, coverage, UAT success rate) to drive visibility and continuous improvement.
● Champion and contribute to process improvement initiatives through retrospectives, training, and tooling enhancements.
Ideal Background:
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
● 8+ years in QA or software development, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
● Strong technical background with hands-on expertise in Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and testing tools and frameworks.
● Proven success managing QA teams and delivering across complex product lifecycles.
● Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
● Deep understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, testing best practices, microservices-based architecture, and agentic AI agent-based systems.
● Skilled in CI/CD, Git, test management platforms, and supporting cross-functional delivery teams
ADVANCED CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH AND SPANISH ESSENTIAL (Will be evaluated).
