QA Engineer

We are seeking an exceptional Automation and Manual QA Engineer to join our QA department at MyHeritage. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, customer-facing applications. You will collaborate closely with developers and the product team in a fast-paced, dynamic agile environment, working towards continuous deployment and providing outstanding features to our millions of users.

What you’ll do:

• Participate in all stages of the software development life cycle.
• Develop and execute testing strategies in a high-pressure environment.
• Collaborate closely with developers and product managers to test and validate exciting new features.
• Create and implement comprehensive test plans for outstanding products and features.
• Develop automated test scenarios based on requirements and maintain existing tests to achieve maximum coverage.
• Actively participate in our Continuous Deployment process, including testing, monitoring, and alerting.
• Take ownership of all quality aspects, encompassing both manual and automation tasks, and covering areas such as functionality, security, performance, usability, and more.
• Provide clear and informative reports on the status of quality to stakeholders.

What you bring:

• B.A., B.Sc. degree or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in QA testing web applications.
• Strong passion for testing and ensuring high-quality software.
• Practical experience in writing automation — advantage.
• Proficiency in coding languages such as Java, C#, or Ruby — advantage.
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
• Strong team player with leadership potential and a positive attitude.
• Ability to independently grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies.
• Demonstrated innovation, creativity, and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
• Familiarity with databases.
