We’re looking for a QA Engineer (Android) to join the Spark team at Readdle. You’ll ensure the quality and reliability of our desktop email client, working closely with developers to deliver a seamless experience to millions of users worldwide.
What will you do:
- Perform comprehensive testing of the application, including functional, UI/UX, design, marketing, and localization testing.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and user cases based on requirements.
- Maintain the bug lifecycle in Azure and perform release and post-release testing (customer issues, crashes).
- Set up and maintain test environments.
- Apply core testing methodologies and testing best practices; understand task prioritization.
- Work with automation: understand how UI tests run, read and execute them in Jenkins, and contribute to automation sprints.
- Participate in team ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, grooming, reviews, retrospectives).
- Share knowledge, review test cases of teammates, and consider real user scenarios when testing.
About you:
- 3+ years of experience in QA, preferably in a product company.
- Strong background in mobile testing, including hands-on experience with Android and familiarity with Android Studio / Xcode.
- Ability to create clear and comprehensive test cases, applying appropriate test design techniques and ensuring solid test coverage.
- Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Testrail.
- Experience working with Git and basic CI/CD workflows.
- Understanding of the software development life cycle and Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Responsible, independent, patient, and user-oriented, with the maturity to defend testing approaches and make quality-driven decisions.
Will be a plus:
- Experience with UI automation (e.g., Espresso) and willingness to work with Kotlin or Swift for test automation.
- Familiarity with Jetpack Compose
