The Opportunity...
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our engineering team. The QA Engineer is responsible for all aspects of Quality Assurance across multiple software development projects, including both manual and automated testing.
How You'll Contribute...
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality software on time.
- Proactively and effectively communicate with team members, project managers, product managers, software developers, and management regarding QA status and deliverables, highlighting risks and issues.
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Identify coverage deficiencies and enhance the test coverage.
- Review test plans/cases with developers and product managers to ensure consistency and adherence to functional requirement documents.
- Manually test web-based applications and websites in cross browsers and multiple mobile devices.
- Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Follow standard testing procedures and provide recommendations for improvement. Remain at the forefront of emerging industry best practices.
- Work with a sense of urgency, both in regards to your own tasks and those of others.
What We're Looking For...
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience.
- Total 3+ years of QA experience in delivering software and/or online products.
- 2+ years of experience developing automated test suites using Selenium Web driver with Java.
- Proven work experience in software quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience testing web-based applications and websites.
- Experience with databases such as MongoDB, MySQL.
- Experience testing API/Web Services using Postman.
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-demand environment with multiple releases and simultaneous projects.
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Experience working within an agile software development process.
- Ability to react quickly to a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both written and verbal.
- Strong planning, organizational skills, and attention to detail with a focus on attaining high-quality deliverables.
- Team player who exhibits effective interpersonal skills with a collaborative style.
- Ability to take full ownership of assigned responsibilities, and appropriately prioritize.
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite (JIRA, Confluence) and TestRail.
