QA Engineer - Betting
TLDR
Collaborate closely with Java and TypeScript engineers in an Agile environment to enhance the Security and performance of the Sportsbook platform for LeoVegas Group.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you a QA Engineer looking to make an impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment? Join our Sportsbook Betting Domain and become part of the Betting team at LeoVegas Group, where you’ll help shape and enhance our betting capabilities. Your work will contribute to delivering a secure, seamless, and engaging experience for customers across all our brands.
In this role, you will support the development of our Sportsbook platform by designing effective tests and defining clear testing scopes aligned with business needs. Working in an Agile environment, you will collaborate closely with skilled Java and TypeScript engineers, along with other QA specialists, to deliver high-quality solutions for a reliable and engaging betting experience.
YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Designing, executing, and maintaining test cases for backend and frontend components
- Identifying opportunities for automation across the betting flow and contributing to their implementation
- Supporting the design and maintenance of automated tests (API, UI, E2E)
- Collaborating with developers and QAs to define testing scope and ensure adequate test coverage
- Executing manual and automated tests as part of the development lifecycle
- Reporting, tracking, and verifying defects, ensuring timely resolution
- Contributing to improving test processes, reliability, and overall product quality
- Communicating risks and findings clearly to team members and stakeholders
OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
- Experience with backend and frontend test automation (Java/Typescript)
- Experience with UI automation tools including Playwright
- Practical experience with automated API testing
- Familiarity with REST APIs and basic understanding of microservices architecture
- Proficiency with test management tools (e.g. TestRail or similar)
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum and modern software development practices
NICE TO HAVES
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Basic knowledge of event-driven systems (e.g. Kafka)
- Experience with performance testing
- ISTQB certification
- Interest in or experience with the iGaming domain
