Position Summary

We are looking for a passionate QA Engineer to join our Back-end development teams in Montevideo and add value to the whole company.

Working at ETG means that you will test features in services used by Booking.com flights product, which is used by millions of customers around the world. More specifically, here you'll be testing a Java 21 backend application that processes air reservations according to the needs and interests of our customers. It’s part of a flow that is relatively new, so you will be introducing the implementation for that domain!

If you smirk when someone says that their code is bug free, you have a keen eye for detail and you enjoy challenges, then you definitely belong to our QA team and to the whole Etraveli Group family!

Responsibilities

• Play an active part in an agile team throughout the lifecycle on the analysis, design, development & testing.
• Design and implement test cases to run in an automated environment.
• Execute automated test scripts, and manual exploratory testing.
• Design and execute regression test suites.
• Work closely with the rest of QA engineers and testers of the development department.
• Create bug reports, and test bug fixes.
• Create a set of test scripts, on top of our existing automation framework and suggest improvements.
• Propose new testing methods, tools and frameworks.
• As a true team player, continuously improve your team's processes, brainstorm ideas, and communicate your status and progress.
• Drive quality assurance lifecycle.

Requirements

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to grasp the big picture.
• Attention to detail and strong testing mindset (nothing goes untested).
• Very good command of the English language.
• Strong communication skills and ability to quickly establish relationships.
• Thirst for knowledge and intellectual curiosity.
• Enjoy working in an agile environment and to act proactively.
• It will be desirable experience in a software test automation position, ideally in testing backend services.
• Knowledge of Java (experience in Java development and/or creating Java automation scripts) will be an added advantage.
• Experience in Selenium Webdriver, TestNG and Jenkins CI will be a plus.
