QA Engineer

You will build reliable test automation for React/Next.js UIs, FastAPI APIs, and data workflows. You'll own end-to-end test suites, CI quality gates via GitHub Actions, and collaborate with engineering to ship reliable features faster. Key Responsibilities

Develop automated tests for React/Next.js frontends using Playwright/Cypress/Jest

Build API/integration tests for FastAPI services aligned to REST standards and OpenAPI specs

Influence product quality through risk-based test strategies

Define test data needs; Create test datasets and mocks for reliable automation. 

Collaborate with DevOps on release health metrics and post-deployment validation

Document test strategies, traceability, and regression plans; participate in risk-based testing.

Integrate tests into GitHub Actions with reporting dashboards and quality thresholds (coverage, pass rates)

Education and Experience

Minimum Required – BS/BA in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience.

Preferred - 4+ years in QA automation for web and API-based systems.

Skills Required

4+ years building/maintaining E2E automation frameworks for web/API applications

Automation:

Playwright/Cypress/jest (JavaScript/TypeScript) for UI;

pytest for API/integration.

GitHub Actions CI/CD integration and Docker for containerized test execution

SQL Fundamentals: Validate Postgres read/write paths; ORM awareness to interpret models.

REST API testing and async workflow validation

Docker basics for test isolation

Experience ensuring test environment stability across dev/staging/prod

Communication & Documentation: Clear,concise plans and status updates.

Kubernetes/Helm awareness to understand how tests run in cluster‑deployed services.

Snowflake basics for downstream data checks.

AI exposure (RAG/grounding) for functional validations.

Strong documentation and cross-team collaboration

Agile mindset: Defining testable acceptance criteria with devs/product
