Job Description: Junior / Intermediate QA Engineer

Start Date: January 1, 2026
Commitment: 12 days per month (approx. 3 days/week)
Duration: Indefinite period (quarterly contract renewals)
Location: Remote
Level: Junior or Intermediate

We are looking for a motivated Junior or Intermediate QA Engineer to help scale up testing capacity. You will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other QA team members to ensure product quality across all stages of the development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Write, maintain, and execute comprehensive test cases, test plans, and bug reports.

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing.

  • Work with the QA lead and engineering team to identify, reproduce, and track software defects.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.

  • Assist with early-stage test automation tasks, including basic scripting and framework usage.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and ensure high-quality deliverables.

  • Participate in release validation and support ongoing quality initiatives.

  • (Optional/Preferred) Conduct Accessibility testing, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines (e.g., WCAG).

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience creating and executing test cases, test plans, and bug reports.

  • Basic knowledge of test automation concepts and scripting languages—Python preferred.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time within a part-time schedule.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Accessibility testing (e.g., WCAG, screen readers, keyboard navigation).

  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks or CI/CD pipelines.

  • Experience with issue-tracking or test-management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
