QA Automation Engineer

The Role: 

Avatria is looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our Services team. As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, reliability and performance of Commerce and Content systems for our customers. This involves designing and executing manual test cases, as well as developing and maintaining automated test suites. You are an ideal candidate if you are passionate about quality assurance, test automation, problem-solving and enjoy working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. 

We want someone that can… 

·       Perform thorough manual testing (functional, regression and smoke) and accurately document test results and test coverage metrics 

·       Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks 

·       Accurately identify, log, prioritize, and track defects to provide clear and concise reports to the development team 

·       Work closely and proactively with development, product, and business teams to understand requirements and embed quality practices throughout the SDLC 

Nice to have… 

·       Strong understanding of the entire SDLC and methodologies (Agile/Scrum) 

·       Experience setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for test execution 

·       Knowledge of database querying (SQL) for data validation in back-end testing 

·       Experience in the Digital Commerce or Content Management domain 

·       Experience with Commerce platforms such as SAP Commerce, Adobe Commerce, Shopify, commercetools and BigCommerce  

·       Experience with Content Management platforms such as Adobe Experience Manager, Contentful and Builder.io 

Requirements

Must have… 

·       Professional experience in software quality assurance for enterprise-level applications 

·       Proficient with test automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Playwright, Cypress)  

·       Expertise in API testing using tools like Postman or REST  

·       Experience with responsive and native mobile application testing (iOS and Android) 

·       Familiarity with test management tools (e.g. Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM) for planning and tracking 

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills
