We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical QA Analyst with experience supporting software development within NASA, aerospace, or other mission-critical engineering environments. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and compliance of software used in high-assurance systems, contributing directly to safety, mission success, and regulatory adherence.
Due to Government Contract all viable candidates must be Green Card Holders or US Citizens due to the requirement of obtaining a US Security Clearance for this position.
Salary: $55-65/hour
This is a hybrid role in Baltimore MD
Responsibilities:
Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for aerospace or mission-critical software applications.
Perform manual and automated testing to validate functionality, performance, security, and reliability of software systems.
Analyze requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to ensure complete test coverage and traceability.
Conduct regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for new and existing software features.
Identify, document, and track defects using standard bug-tracking tools; work closely with software engineers to drive timely resolution.
Validate software performance against NASA, aerospace, or federal industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, NASA-STD-8739.8).
Participate in software reviews, risk assessments, and configuration management processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, systems engineers, safety engineers, and aerospace domain experts.
Review test data results and prepare QA reports, metrics, and documentation for audits and compliance reviews.
Support continuous improvement of QA processes, test automation frameworks, and quality metrics.
Ensure adherence to mission-critical quality practices, verification & validation (V&V) procedures, and industry standards governing aerospace systems.

5+ years Software QA experience
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
