Python Software Developer (f/m/d)

We, the Server Services & Development team, design and implement APIs and services that power our bare metal server products. As a key member of our team in Karlsruhe, you'll develop and enhance APIs that integrate with customer control panels and internal services. Our team is distributed across two locations, with some members in Berlin, and we work closely together to share knowledge and best practices. We're a collaborative team, and we're looking for someone who is excited to work with us to achieve our goals, which includes collaborating with our international team members, so ability to communicate effectively in English is crucial. We're an agile team, and you'll help us drive innovation, efficiency, and customer satisfaction by working on a wide range of projects, from new APIs to improving existing services.

Tasks

• You will primarily develop web services in Python that are integrated in other applications and control panels. Providing REST APIs is a key focus for us.
• If required, you will also make new functions available via graphical user interfaces.
• You will play a key role in the design and implementation of new functions and products and also help us clarify questions relating to technical feasibility and IT security.
• To ensure the desired software quality, you will use integration and unit tests, carry out code reviews, and pay attention to clean code, just like we do.

Qualifications

You have a background in software development, with a strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and several years of experience in software development.

• Proficient in Software Development with Python and experience in FastAPI or Asyncio
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and web services.
• Familiar with Linux and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of relational databases, including PostgreSQL and MariaDB, and SQL.
• Comfortable with Git, unit-testing, and collaborative development workflows.
• Strong communicator and team player, with experience working in a team of developers and collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.
• Good written and spoken English skills complete your profile.
